Mr. Adel A. Soliman joined the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) as a Biodiversity Information Specialist in August 1996, then promoted as a Biodiversity Information Manager in 2000. He worked closely with the Director of Nature Conservation Sector (NCS) in many aspects. His work includes managing and developing socio-economic evaluation, cost-benefit studies and implementing community management programs. He was involved in many environmental projects funded by international agencies e.g. (GEF) - (UNDP) - (UNEP) - (EU). He was assigned as a coordinator assistant for the Biosafety Project, Egypt since 2005. He joined the Medicinal Plants Conservation project as a Project Manager in 2010. He served as project manager for a large scale UNDP project for "Strengthening Protected Areas Financing and Management Systems" in 2013.  He got a MSc degree in Environmental Science (Biodiversity Conservation) in 2014, and He is currently enrolled in PhD degree in (Environmental and Social Responsibility) at Ain Shams University. His professional experience includes environmental management, socio-economic assessment, economic valuation, monitoring & evaluation, biodiversity conservation, environmental communication, (CBNRM), and TK preservation.  He was nominated as a national focal point for (CEPA) in Ramsar Convention. He acted as a coordinator on several national committees (e.g. Biosafety, ABS, Medicinal Plant).

Project Manager:
- Preparing and implementing of detailed project work plan and budget
- Ensuring that all the activities are carried out on time and within budget to achieve the stated outputs
- Preparation and submission to UNDP office of regular progress and financial reports including PIRs, Quarterly and Annual reports
- Supervising the preparation of financial issues and setting budgets related to technical activities.
- Liaise with the Steering Committee, PMU, NCS, GEF-UNDP, the National Advisor, the Technical Advisory Committee and OUDA,
- Liaise with necessary governmental personnel, NGOs and interested institutions in the medicinal plants,
- Design and implement the integrated management systems for protected areas of Egypt.
- Design and implement the communication strategy of the project.
- Prepare Terms of Reference (TORs) for Project components, consultants and experts;
- Maintaining effective communication with the relevant authorities, institutions and government departments;
- Selection and Identification of the consultants and experts, and supervise their performance;
- providing information to the supervisor about all Government, private and public sector activities, which impact on any use of related issues;
- Preparation of monitoring and evaluation plans
- Identification of appropriate program indicators able to reflect progress of activities as well as impact
- Providing information as needed to carry out any monitoring and evaluation activity as part of the UN's internal guidelines
